In 1993 I connected on the Net for the first time (remember the beeps, tones and hissing sounds of dial up? Ahhh, nostalgia!)

I had my first membership site ready in 1997 and made my first sale online before 2000.

Yes, even though I was at the forefront, I still moved slowly at first... slow and steady really does win the race

In 2002 I realized that the REAL money is in the Global market and I had to create products to sell online to people all over the world. That's how "TurboReferer" was born (do you remember that?)

Ever since then I have stressed that I owe my success to my people - those who I "speak with" through my newsletter - revealing to them on a weekly basis my adventures on the net.

But I never expected to ...end up where I am today

In 2003 I wrote the "I have a vision" article (you can Google it) and somehow I felt that ONE DAY I might work full time as an Internet Marketer.

That seemed almost like a "blasphemy" to even think about it at that time, because I had less than 100 subscribers, a couple of products, and no light on the horizon as a sign that I could "compete" with the "Gurus."

How could an unknown guy - a Lawyer on that Time - ever dream of becoming a full time marketer - like "...those people in the USA?"

That's how I built an online persona.

In fact, I first used the name of "John Delavera" next to the Copyright of one of my "viral reports" because... SOMEONE had to "sign" it as the "author."

I never expected to see my viral reports featured by Allan Gardyne as one of the most successfully structured viral ebooks. And I surely never imagined it next to the tactics and strategies used by Yanik Silver, Terry Dean, etc... my teachers on that time.

3. Simplest way to "write" an ebook
=======================================

If you think writing an ebook is too much like hard work, have a look at how easily John Delavera did it.

Instead of writing an ebook, he did some research and collected seven articles that other people had written, all on one theme, viral marketing.

Using ebook compiler software, eBook Creator, he put them together in an ebook.

The book benefits John in all the following ways:

It contains links to his other books, on each page he's placed a banner ad to his own product, in the Contents section, he links to his own newsletter, and he also links to a bonus interview which contains a two-tier affiliate link.

As well as that, John has added clever viral marketing touches.

He allows anyone with a PC to rebrand the book, in a way I haven't seen done elsewhere.

What has not changed since then is the fact that I enjoy my life living miles away from the U.S.

And while I'm not an American, I too admire what "John Delavera" has done online.

Nah...
Just facts.

Try writing your newsletter in a foreign language using the dictionary on each and every word you write and then tell me if that is tough - or not.

Try producing products for a foreign market - sell them online and establish them as examples of perfection and excellency - and then tell me if that is ridiculously difficult - or not.

"John Delavera" did well indeed

'He' chose "Turbo" as 'his' brand and kept 'his' promise. Everything 'he' created has been TURBO, indeed.

But... "he" created TOO many things....

Too many things to be handled by "a foreigner" living miles away from the US - managing everything through his laptop only.

In cases like this one, help is needed.:)

That's how I established one of the best helpdesks online.

But then again, even by having one of the most responsive helpdesks, many tickets were ending up like this:

Today I know this is true - Life is too short

Since December 2009 I have visited Atlanta, Orlando, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York. I interacted with my people, too, and I enjoyed that very much.

I saw that interacting with my people online can change their lives, but being with them during a weekend can give them more than "what a whole year" can offer.

In short: too many things to see and do in life, too little time to see and do everything.

Alexander the Great cut the Gordian Knot by saying: "Everything that cannot be solved, must be cut."

Thus, the Gordian Knot that keeps me alerted until 4 and 5 am on a daily basis needs to be cut.

I do not see it as a "retirement"
Because it is not

I am not leaving.

In fact, the purpose of this Turbo Farewell is to allow me to "stay here" for MORE years - otherwise I'd just kill myself with the heavy business routine I have to endure every day.
